My name is Dawn Barratt-Johnson
and I am a Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist and
Nutritional Advisor based in Cambridge dedicated to people’s
fitness and general well being.
I’ve been involved in sport most of my life
and have competed nationally in athletics, netball, horse
riding and dance as well as coaching various teams. Sounds
good, but believe
me, I never found it easy. My weight yo-yoed as a teenager
even although I was pretty
hyperactive!!
Working with other people either part of
a team or in a one to one situation made all the difference.
Apart from firing up the competitive streak, I never liked
letting people down whether it was my coach or fellow team
mates. But above all it was far more FUN!!!
Like most people
I have had a variety of jobs from sales and marketing
to a home visit carer for the disabled and elderly. I like
to think that my background and experiences enables
me to relate and empathize with people from all walks
of life.
After working in industry, I decided to combine
fitness with my other passion, which is helping people,
especially with regards to achieving their own personal
goals. There simply is nothing better than sharing your
knowledge, motivating whilst making it fun and seeing people
improve and achieve things that they never thought possible.
I like to take an integrated approach to fitness and health
ensuring
that my clients have an all round healthy lifestyle.
